Agri-Value Chain Development
Smallholder development and shared-value relationships across industry actors — climate-smart and connected to markets.
We design and implement smallholder development initiatives that establish long-term, shared-value relationships between and across relevant industry actors. We prioritise working with agribusinesses that have a clear commitment to supporting local smallholder families and their communities.
We mobilise, organise, and train smallholders in climate-smart and regenerative farming practices and business skills across various crops and livestock value chains and market systems. We also work with agribusinesses seeking to source quality products from — or supply climate-resilient agricultural inputs to — farmers, including women and youth.
We work with producers (including smallholder farmers), businesses, global foundations, and governments to make Africa’s agriculture, food systems, and farmers thrive even amid ever-present climate threats. We support increased financing for the sector, promote business and technology solutions, and help remove the policy constraints that hold the sector back — increasing productivity, improving food security and diversifying incomes.
